It’s the first day of spring, and number 1 makes you want to leave the calendar for a stroll around the city. It’s all a discovery out there, who would have thought that numbers are everywhere? On car license plates, on bar blackboards, at bus stops and on birthday cakes… Try looking for them too! After reading the book and searching for the hidden numbers, I created two activities to entertain the little participants: a more creative one, where we can have fun with sheets of paper and colored pencils, creating our Mr. 1, and a more motor-based one, with interactive mathematical games that involve physical movement to represent and understand numbers. The choice of activity will depend on the spaces available and the age of the participants. TARGET: from 5/6 to 9 years
