There are countless books about emotions, for all ages, that identify them, explain them, and name them one by one. But none that tell the story of their individual steps. Heart versus brain, rationality versus irrationality: we are used to thinking of emotions within this kind of dualism. Yet Luigi and Anna Ballerini guide young readers through the three fundamental steps of emotional growth: feeling, thinking, and acting. Three moments that don’t conflict with each other, but instead go hand in hand.
To illustrate this process, they present “small emotional cases” of young people experiencing these steps in their everyday lives.
